What is the cost of a murder mystery?

The cost for our murder mystery entertainment is dependent on the number of guests you have at your gathering and whether you'd like the party, team building or production format. Universities, Colleges and Senior Centers will receive a substantial discount. We ask that businesses pay full price so that we may continue to offer inexpensive entertainment to Universities, Colleges and Senior Centers. Thank you. That being said, if our pricing is out of range of your budget, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your event.

What is the Party | Team Building Format?

A.

The Party | Team Building Format is a game. It is a murder mystery activity created for you. The storyline is customized around you, your guests and your event. The suspects are guests at your event. If you are having a themed event and encouraging costumes, the mystery will be wrapped around your theme. Here are a few THEME ideas.

What is the Production Format?

A.

Our Production Format is like going to see a play only you choose the date, time and place and we bring the play to you. A full team of actors and actresses will be on site to entertain. Your guests will be the armchair detectives trying to solve whodunnit.

How does a mystery proceed? How long does it take?

A.

In most cases, mysteries are coordinated around a dinner and take two to three hours. Use this timeline as an example.

What is included?

A.

The customized murder mystery, the photography services (all photos can be downloaded by your guests for free), event coordination and everything needed for the entertainment (i.e. notebooks, pencils, props, costuming, awards, etc.). If you feed your guests, Whodunnit for Hire will keep them laughing and entertained.

Will we incur other costs?

We kindly ask that you include the mystery coordinator (for the party format) or team of actors (for the production format) in your meal and parking count.

My goal, as owner of Whodunnit for Hire, is to offer the BEST murder mystery entertainment; not the cheapest; not the biggest; the BEST. To that end, I care about two things. First, I care about your party. I care that your guests tell you it was amazing and that they had an incredible time. I care that you are able to relax and enjoy your own party because I've got it handled. Second, I care about the storyline. The puzzle of whodunnit is important to me. The solution will be based on clues and reasoning, not a vote. When the killer is revealed, I want everyone to understand exactly why he or she "dunnit."

What if we found another murder mystery company that is cheaper?

Don't risk it. You have one chance to make a great impression with this event. Your guests are important. The fact that they have a great time falls on your shoulders. If you book a Whodunnit for Hire murder mystery, you'll be able to relax. I will take your event very seriously and will expertly handle all the logistics. What is the Booking Policy?

A.

Pick a date, time and place and let us know how many guests to anticipate. Wendy will confirm the details with an invoice. Once it is paid, your murder mystery is confirmed.

What is the Cancellation Policy?

A.

A cancellation within thirty days will result in loss of payment. You may change the date of your event with thirty or more days notice. There is no penalty for a postponement due to inclement weather. If there is a change, the new date must be within the following ten months.

How many people can be at my murder mystery party?

A.

The party format (and team building format) is a game and best suited for 64 or fewer guests/players. The production format is a show and we could perform for as many as four hundred guests.

Where do you perform?

A.

We travel to locations within central Maryland, Washington DC including northern Virginia (NOVA) and parts of southern Pennsylvania. You choose the date, time and place. We travel to you.
