To Whom It May Concern,
I am Debbie Thompson and the owner of Tristar Martial Arts with three locations in Carroll County. We wanted to do something fun this year for our staff and so we had an Ugly Sweater Whodunnit Party and it was a huge success! It was successful yes in part to a great staff and assistants but to Wendy Olenik of Whodunnit for Hire who put together a fantastic Murder Mystery for us right in our Academy! This was so well organized that there was absolutely no stress on our part, except get an Ugly Sweater, because the work was all done by Wendy. What a great way to end our year together so thank you to Wendy and the Whodunnit for Hire company.

The Mattawoman Creek Art Center would like to thank Wendy Olenik and her murder mystery troupe, Whodunnit for Hire, for a fabulous evening of entertainment. On October 10th, 2014 MACA hosted a fundraiser "Murder at the Manor House" with a Downton Abbey inspired theme. Wendy created a web of clues and colorful suspects. Our 200 guests had a great time being amused by the wacky suspects and their engaging messages as they tried to piece together the clues to "whodunnit". Wendy did a great job organizing, producing, and delivering a wonderful evening of entertainment. We were so pleased with Wendy and the Whodunnit for Hire mystery group that we have booked them for next year! Thank you for a job well done.

Just wanted to take a moment to extend a great big “thank you” to you and your team for a terrific kick-off to our annual Operations meeting yesterday! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and really got into the activity. It was a great ice breaker to immediately get everyone involved and talking and sharing and collaborating……so much better than beginning a meeting with “talking heads and power point presentations”. This exercise got everyone warmed up and actively participating for the remainder of the day.
If you ever need a “corporate” reference I am happy to assist. Many thanks.

You certainly put your whole heart into this and I appreciate your attention to detail and willingness to answer lots of questions along the way.

We would like to thank you and your troupe for the incredible production that you put on for Sherwood Forest on August 9th 2014. All 170 guests had a wonderful time, especially the ‘suspects’ and the ‘murder victim’. It was a pleasure to work with you as you were always there to answer any questions and put our minds o rest if we had concerns. The advertising publications you provided were first class and certainly helped with our ticket sales. Your suggestions and ideas helped us to put together a great evening.

I can tell you that, as an organizer, I am thankful you were able to accommodate our large group. It was a hilarious way to interact and reinforce bonding within the group. Some of the students carried the characters and costuming over into the following week and a half. In one group’s final research presentation, the moustaches came out, the dead guy reappeared, and inside jokes flew.
In keeping with the STEM research focus, a Senior Manager noted, it provided “…critical thinking, attention to detail, research on the importance of observation skills needed for successful research.”
Thank you again for a really good time. If we are fortunate enough to do the program again next year, we’ll give you plenty of advance notice to include lots of mad scientists stuff!

I just wanted to thank you for working with Marolyn to arrange a presentation of your Murder Mystery program on such short notice. The JSTI students and staff thoroughly enjoyed it. The party gave the students an opportunity to get to know each other and was a topic of conversation throughout the program. One of the teams even did a “take off” from the program in their final presentation. Jim, the “murderee”, was a great choice and he continued to play up the role throughout the remainder of the program. I suspect he’s still talking about it with his family and students in classes that he teaches at a high school in Connecticut!!
Thank you again for making the 2014 Joint Science and Technology Institute (JSTI) a success!!
